LEGATE Presented at a Conference on the Practical Impacts of the New Building Legislation

The new building legislation introduces significant changes to the processes of planning and implementing construction projects. One of the areas attracting increased attention in practice is the liability of designers and the scope of their obligations under the new Building Act.

This topic was also addressed at a professional conference for designers and representatives of investment departments, focused on the practical application of building legislation. The event provided a platform for exchanging experiences and engaging in expert discussions on the challenges that the new legal framework brings to participants in the construction process.

Representing LEGATE, Norbert Havrila and Adam Nahalka delivered a presentation entitled “The Designer and Their Liability.” Their presentation focused in particular on:

  • the obligations of designers under the new Building Act,
  • the legal and practical risks associated with the performance of their activities,
  • disciplinary liability of designers and its consequences.

The expert discussions held during the conference confirmed that the implementation of the new building legislation raises numerous practical questions that designers, investors, and other participants in the construction process will encounter in their day-to-day practice.

We would like to thank the Regional Educational Centre Košice for the invitation and the excellent organization of the conference. We appreciate the strong interest of the professional community in current legal issues related to construction law and the opportunity to share our practical experience.

If you have any questions regarding the new building legislation, designers’ liability, or other aspects of construction law, we will be pleased to provide expert legal advice.
